Michael J. Kalous
A black-billed magpie in flight over sagebrush, with snowy mountains blurred behind it.

Bound in chains of self-regret, I find myself alone. Accusing sins strangling hope that I can e’re atone. Heavy tears fall to the ground crushing heart and bone. I have no voice, my breath is gone. Only God, of His own will, can reconstruct my heart. And only He can free my soul, and cleanse and take me home.

The Way

We come from light into a dimmer world where doubt, questions, wonder, and awe exist in each breath. We walk upon the earth and long to fly.

Golden grassland and sagebrush beneath a wide blue Montana sky full of clouds.

Fear

When we feel moved or called to produce a book or something else that could be helpful to others, which is our calling as Christians, we too often fall prey to fear.
