Who I am, What I've done, What I offer

Promotional banner for Wisdom From the Wreckage: a man stands on a hillside watching the sunset beside the book cover, with the words “Available everywhere books are sold.”

It has taken me weeks to figure out how to recover and become productive again after a vicious virus attack on my computer. This is a new computer and a new email address. I write this note today with gratitude for the freedom I feel in once again being able to post a part of my mind onto the page. Lately, there has been much discussion regarding the use of AI in the art of writing. I want it known that I do not use AI to write or create my content. I believe this is a personal choice, like whether to indulge in this or that. I have had the benefit of having a phisher-person create a banner for my book, which looks okay and is informative; however, I would not have chosen this path for myself. I am not going to look a gift-horse in the mouth. If you don’t know what this refers to, ask me and I will explain it for you. If you are interested in what the banner looks like, and have stayed with me this far, see the image above. May the Lord bless you in your work and life. Michael

The Way

We come from light into a dimmer world where doubt, questions, wonder, and awe exist in each breath. We walk upon the earth and long to fly.

Golden grassland and sagebrush beneath a wide blue Montana sky full of clouds.

Fear

When we feel moved or called to produce a book or something else that could be helpful to others, which is our calling as Christians, we too often fall prey to fear.

A black-billed magpie in flight over sagebrush, with snowy mountains blurred behind it.

Reborn

Bound in chains of self-regret, I find myself alone. Only God, of His own will, can reconstruct my heart.
